- Betacyte ChemJournals
Allegedly the most comprehensive list of chemistry lournals online.
- CHEMCONF On-line Chemistry Education Conference, 1993
During the summer of 1993, the Committee on Computers in Chemical Education of the American Chemical Society's Division of Chemical Education sponsored an experimental on-line electronic conference, entitled "Applications of Technology in Teaching Chemistry", which was conducted entirely by means of Internet and Bitnet network services.
- Chemical Applications of the World Wide Web
A hypertext presentation by Henry S. Rzepa, , Benjamin J. Whitaker, and Mark J. Winter. The application of the Internet based World-Wide-Web system for efficient and intuitive delivery of chemical information in a wide variety of formats is illustrated via models for electronic publishing and interaction with molecular data.
- The Chemical Educator
The Chemical Educator is published 6 times a year with Volume 1 appearing in 1996. Visitors may complete a registration form and set up a guest account. Guests may explore forums, tables of contents, and abstracts. The personal subscription rate is $24.95 for 12 months of full access and 6 issues.
- Chemical On-line Presentations, Talks and Workshops
You are invited to contribute the URL of any chemically orientated talk, poster or workshop presentation that you have made or will make to an audience. Links to contributed talks are presented on this page, most of the by the listkeeper, Henry Rzepa at the Imperial College.
- Chemistry and Industry
Chemistry & Industry offers daily news, a large database of chemistry jobs (also available by email update service), a searchable database of conferences, and selected current and past articles from the magazine, including articles on chemical education.
- Chemistry on the Infobahn
Using Internet services to augment printed publications, a slide show from ACS.
- CONFCHEM - Conferences on Chemistry
CONFCHEM (CONFerences on CHEMistry) is devoted to on-line conferences in chemistry education and research. On-line conferences on particular topics are conducted from time to time. Dates and topics are announced on this website, via the CONFCHEM list and other chemistry-related Internet sources, and in various print publications. CONFCHEM papers are available on this Website and discussion takes place via the CONFCHEM e-mail list.
- CORE Project
The CORE project is an electronic library prototype the provides networked access to the full text and graphics content of the American Chemical Society journals and associated Chemical Abstracts Services indexing since 1980 (some 250 journal years of data).
- ECCRUS: An Undergraduate Electronic Chemistry Conference
ECCRUS is the electronic conference of chemical research by undergraduate students and is a service of CIRRUS. Periodic conferences will host research presentations in a World Wide Web format as well as use the CIRRUS email discussion list to facilitate communications for the conference. Please visit for upcoming conferences.
- ESTOC - Elsevier Science Tables of Contents Service
ContentsSearch is a service which currently provides access to the tables of contents of more than 1,100 Elsevier Science primary and review journals, covering a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines. The tables of contents available with this service date back to January 1995 and are updated on a weekly basis.
- Electronic Computational Chemistry Conference (ECCC)
Electronic Computational Chemistry Conference have been held annually since 1994, entirely on the Internet. This page acts as your entry point into the conferences. From here you can access the titles, abstracts, and papers presented.
- HYLE - An International Journal for the Philosophy of Chemistry
HYLE is a refereed international journal for the philosophy of chemistry dedicated to all philosophical aspects of chemistry. Articles deal with epistemological, methodological, foundational, and ontological problems of chemistry and its subfields; the peculiarities of chemistry and relations to technology, other scientific and non-scientific fields; aesthetical, ethical, and environmental matters in chemistry; as well as philosophically relevant facets of the history, sociology, linguistics, and education of chemistry. HYLE offers original articles, a forum for discussion and brief communication, and book reviews. Contributions are in English.
- Journal of Biochemistry
This is the on-line version of The Journal of Biochemistry from the Japanese Biochemical Society, featuring full text and figures.
- Journal of Biological Chemistry
Take a glimpse at the future in scientific publishing!
- Journal of Chemical Education - Software
The branch of the Journal of Chemical Education that publishes instructional computer software and videodiscs.
- Journal of Computer-Aided Molecular Design
ESCOM Science Publishers in collaboration with the Center for Molecular Design are proud to present an experimental electronic version of the Journal of Computer-Aided Molecular Design. This server will attempt to carry complete articles, including figures and tables, along with enhancements such as molecular coordinates for viewing with RASMOL.
- Internet Journal of Science - Biological Chemistry
This new journal of Biological Chemistry and related topics will set the standard for the publishing of high quality scientific papers on the Internet. All aspects of Chemistry are included, but with particular emphasis on studies of biologically important molecules. In addition, the journal would like to promote the application of Computers in chemistry such as Molecular Modelling, Cheminformatics and Bioinformatics.
- Multimedia Journal of Chemical Education
This was a bold and idealistic, (thus) now strangled, effort to represent a [US] national effort to deliver a WWW/CD-ROM journal specializing in using multimedia and online conferences to better present chemical education materials. Its page now reads: "Due to the wishes of the Journal of Chemical Education editorial board (an unrelated publication), the Multimedia Journal of Chemical Education no longer will published as such.". Boo, JChE!
- Springer Electronic Media - Chemistry
Listing of on-line publications (Tables of Contents and Additional Material), as well as commercially available CD-ROM databases from the German publisher.
- TULIP - The University Licensing Program
TULIP is a cooperative research project testing system for networked delivery and use of journals, performed by Elsevier Science and nine Universities in the USA.
- Upcoming Internet Conferences
Lists Internet-related conferences in a wide context.
- Information Technology Support for Education and Research
This programme of short briefings, most of which will be illustrated in action, is offered to staff who may be unfamiliar with the recent impact of information technology on education and research. The Electronic Journal and The Electronic Conference are two of these briefings.
